Land Discription: South Africa is a medium size country that is broken up into two geographic regions. The coastal region and the high interior plateau. Sorrounding the coastal low lands are the Cederberg, the Swatberg, and the Baviannskloff mountain ranges. The highest mountain peak is 3,408m on the Injasuti mountain. The Kalahari desert is a huge desert located in the central western portion of South Africa, it has many plateaues ranging from 1,220m to 1,830m. South Africa has nine seperate provinces ranging in size from the tiny over populated urban Gauteng to the large vast empty Northern Cape that takes up about one third of the country.
